Size and switch guide

Keyboard sizes are named by how much of a full-size board they keep. A smaller board leaves more room for your mouse.

  • Full-size (100%) This keyboard

    104 keys or more

Every key, including the number pad and the navigation cluster.

  • 96%

    About 100 keys

Keeps the number pad and arrows, with the navigation keys squeezed in beside them.

  • Tenkeyless (TKL, 80%)

    About 87 keys

No number pad. Keeps the F-row, navigation cluster and arrow keys.

  • 75%

    About 84 keys

Keeps the F-row and arrows, packed tight with few gaps. A popular balance of size and keys.

  • 65%

    About 68 keys

No F-row. Keeps the arrow keys and a few navigation keys down the right side.

  • 60%

    About 61 keys

No F-row and no arrow keys: they move to a second layer. The smallest common size.
