Why this matters
Battlefield 6 drops October 10th with updated system requirements and a new “Ultra++” performance tier.
This isn’t a benchmark war, it’s a look at how the latest Frostbite engine scales across real hardware.
Below is what EA recommends, what that means in practice, and which Radium systems are already ready to run it.
Ultra++ Specs (DICE Official):
-
CPU: Intel Core 9 Ultra 285K / AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
-
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080
-
RAM: 32 GB DDR5 (4800 MHz)
-
Storage: 90 GB SSD (minimum)
-
OS: Windows 11 (Requires TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot Enabled)
-
Target: 4K @ 144–240 FPS Ultra Settings
EA also confirmed Battlefield 6 uses its new Javelin Anti-Cheat system and requires an always-online connection, even for campaign mode.
Real-world context
Battlefield 6 isn’t as heavy as it looks on paper.
The jump from Ultra to Ultra++ is mostly about refresh rate and latency, not visual load.
A 5070 Ti will still run it comfortably at 1440p.
The RTX 5080 and Ryzen 9800X3D pairing just lets you push 240 Hz in 4K — that’s the upper limit of today’s consumer hardware (outside of a RTX 5090).
DLSS 4 Super Resolution and Frame Generation do most of the lifting.
If your build already handles Cyberpunk 2077 or Alan Wake 2 at 4K Ultra, it’s ready for Battlefield 6.

Tips before launch
-
Update to the latest NVIDIA 550-series or AMD 24.9 drivers before install.
-
Enable XMP or EXPO for full DDR5 performance.
-
Make sure Secure Boot is turned on in BIOS; Battlefield 6 won’t launch without it.
-
Use your GPU’s software (NVIDIA Control Panel or Adrenalin) to set frame caps per resolution.
Quick Battlefield 6 FAQs
Q: Will Battlefield 6 run on my RTX 5070 Ti?
A: Yes. expect smooth 1440p High settings around 144 FPS. The 5070 Ti is close to the recommended tier, but not Ultra++.
Q: Is 32 GB RAM really necessary?
A: For Ultra and above absolutely. The game’s caching and asset streaming benefit massively from the extra headroom.
Q: Why does it need TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot?
A: No, Battlefield 6’s Javelin Anti-Cheat is enabled directly from Windows 11’s hardware security layer.
Q: Does DLSS 4 really help?
It’s the difference between 144 Hz and 240 Hz at 4K. It also reduces input latency on NVIDIA 5000-series GPUs.
Ready to Deploy
